What Goes Into the Cost of Clearing Your Record
The price of clearing a Pennsylvania record is really two separate things: the attorney fee and the court filing fees. Court filing fees are set by each county and are typically under $200 per petition, you pay these to the court whether or not you hire a lawyer. Our flat attorney fee covers everything else: pulling your criminal history, confirming eligibility, preparing and filing the petition, and tracking it through the Pennsylvania State Police until the record is confirmed removed.
Because charges are cleared one docket at a time, cost scales with how many separate cases you need addressed. Our base fee covers a single docket; additional dockets are added at a reduced rate. In the small number of expungements where a county schedules a contested hearing and an attorney must appear (in our experience, fewer than 5% of cases), an additional $500 may apply. Pardons are priced separately because they are a longer, multi-year process handled by the Board of Pardons rather than a county court.
